How We make
Our Ceramics
From an idea, to a mold, to stoneware, glaze, fire and a finished custom mug.
—
Ancient materials. Modern tools. A hands-on process that turns ideas into mugs built to last.

CLAY
The beginning
of everything.

WATER
Gives it life.

PLASTER
Turns ideas
into forms.

FIRE
Makes it permanent.
FOUR SIMPLE ELEMENTS.
ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.
Clay, water, plaster and fire have been
used for thousands of years. Today, we
combine those same materials with
3D design, precision mold making and
modern ceramic decal printing.

Tradition
Teaches.
Technology
Expands.
—
We throw, we model, we print, we cast and we refine. Every step teaches us something
different — and together, they make better mugs.
From concept
to Completion
Each mug goes through a detail process. Here's a look at how we turn an idea into a finished ceramic mug.

Designing the Mug
We define the form,
dimensions and details from sketches to 3D Models.
Master & Prototype
We create a master
using 3D printing, hand finishing or wheel work.
Making the Molds
The prototype becomes a plaster mold, designed for clean release and detail.
Preparing the Slip
We mix stoneware clay into a precise slip for consistent, high-quality casting.
Casting & Drying
The slip is poured, forms the mug, and then slowly dries for strength.
Glazing, Firing &
Finishing
Mugs are glazed, fired at high temperatures, and finished with decals or custom details.

More Than a Mug
—
A well-made ceramic mug is a combination of
material, design, process and time. The result
is a functional piece of ceramic that's meant
to be used, not just displayed.
